Conjunctivitis due to bacterial infection

Conjunctivitis is a disease that results in a visual eye looks red and swollen, one or both. Occurs due to inflammation of the eye, which is inflammation of the transparent membranes( conjunctiva) of the eyes and eyelids.

There are several causes of conjunctivitis, including infection by bacteria, viral and allergic conjunctivitis. This article will discuss  conjunctivitis caused by bacteria infection. The bacteria that often makes the inflammation of the type Stafilokok, streptokok, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Neisseria gonorrhea, and Haemophilus influenza.

Treatment of this disease is to use eye drops or antibiotic ointment, antibiotic use is a single antibiotic such as polymyxin. To relieve pressure on the eye can compress with warm water. Giving antibiotics for 3-5 days can give good results.
